StubHub has expanded its presence in the festival category with a new official partnership with Southern Entertainment, one of the country’s leading independent live entertainment companies. The partnership makes StubHub the Official Open Distribution Partner for Southern Entertainment’s portfolio of destination country music festivals, including Carolina Country Music Fest in Myrtle Beach, SC and Barefoot Country Music Fest in Wildwood, NJ.

Southern Entertainment has built a reputation for producing large-scale, multi-day experiences that draw fans from across the country to coastal destinations. Carolina Country Music Fest brings together 40+ artists over four days and ranks among the East Coast’s largest outdoor country music festivals. Barefoot Country Music Fest does the same for the Northeast — four days, 40+ artists, and a festival footprint that has made Wildwood one of the region’s premier summer music destinations.

“Southern Entertainment produces the kind of festivals fans genuinely plan their summers around,” said Michelle Swing, Director of Music & Festival Partnerships at StubHub. “Carolina Country Music Fest and Barefoot Country Music Fest bring together destination travel, major country talent, and the kind of multi-day energy that fans are increasingly looking for. Being on the ground at these events is part of how we make the experience work for everyone, from the fan buying a last-minute ticket to the team running the box office.”

The partnership reflects StubHub’s continued push to deepen its position in the festival category, particularly in destination-market events where fans are planning travel, accommodations, and multi-day experiences around a single weekend. Southern Entertainment’s portfolio sits squarely in that space: both festivals draw loyal, regionally engaged fan bases who treat the event as a full destination trip.

As part of the partnership, StubHub has been on the ground at both festivals. Last month, the StubHub team was on-site at Carolina Country Music Fest in Myrtle Beach, helping fans get tickets, working through any issues at the box office, and being present where fans actually are. That same support was in place at Barefoot Country Music Fest in Wildwood, continuing what StubHub’s Open Distribution model is built to deliver: fewer barriers between fans and the shows they want to attend.

“Having StubHub’s support team on-site was a major benefit of the partnership. It gave ticket purchasers immediate access to real people who could troubleshoot issues in real time, bypass automated phone menus and chatbot queues, and work directly within the ticketing system,” said Morgan Gwozdz, Customer Service Specialists for Southern Entertainment, “In cases involving invalid or duplicate tickets, the team was able to verify the problem on the spot and help issue a valid replacement or refund, creating a faster, smoother and more reassuring experience for fans.”
